Alert: Mounjaro update

Across the NHS in North West London, some patients are now eligible for referral to an NHS weight management service to access weight loss drugs. NHS GP practices are not allowed to prescribe them, and we are awaiting the final referral guidance. Eligibility is limited to:
1. A body mass index (BMI) of 40 or more
AND
2. At least 4 of the following diagnoses: high blood pressure (managed by prescribed medication), obstructive sleep apnoea, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidaemia (high cholesterol), and cardiovascular disease.
