As part of delivering our service to you, we may communicate with you periodically.
The most common reasons we will communicate with you are:
– Appointment reminders
– Booking planned appointments to review your health if you have a long-term health condition, or you are pregnant or a new mum
– Notifying you that test results have been received by us and reviewed by a doctor
– Invitations for vaccines, immunisations, and cervical smears
– Providing you with information relevant to a recent request you made or consultation that you had
– Confirming that we have completed a request that you made. For example, a repeat prescription, or a letter
– Information about new services, or research studies, which are relevant to you that you may be interested to find out more about
The method we use to communicate with you, will depend on the content and reason.
Generally, we prefer to notify you via the NHS App as this is the most secure way. If you don’t want to, or can’t use the NHS App, we will either email you or send a text message to your mobile phone. If you have a preference, please let us know.
If a doctor or another member of our clinical team needs to speak to you, we will call you.
If any messages you receive from us ask you to call the surgery, please try and call back within 48 hours.
If you are not sure if a message you have received has come from us, please call the surgery.
PATCHs (the system used for digital care requests): If you sent us a request using PATCHs, we may send you a request for further information.
