How Do I...
Obtain Telephone Advice?

If the appointments for that morning are already fully booked and you feel you need to see a doctor urgently, a doctor takes triage calls from 9.00 - 9.30am.

To enquire about test results please phone after 9.30am to speak to a receptionist.

If you wish to speak to a doctor please phone after 9.30am. Your message will be relayed and the doctor will contact you after surgery if necessary.

How Do I...
Make An Appointment?

How To Make an Appointment to See a Doctor

For a morning appointment please attend the surgery or telephone between 8.00 and 9.00am and you will be offered an appointment for that morning.

Afternoon appointments may be booked in advance up to one week ahead.

The practice endeavours to provide the doctor of choice for each patient but this may not always be possible. If this were to be the case then an explanation would be provided.

Nurse Appointments

Appointments to see a nurse may be booked in advance. Our practice nurses provide a number of services including the following:

  • Cervical Smears
  • New Patient Health Checks
  • Family Planning
  • Travel Vaccinations
  • Removal of Stitches
  • Change Dressings
  • Ear Syringing
  • Childhood Vaccinations
  • Adult vaccinations including flu, pneumococcal and tetanus vaccinations

They also help run the well baby clinic, diabetic clinic and assist with minor operations and general health promotions.

One of our nurses is trained as a smoking cessation adviser and runs a weight management clinic.

Obtain A Home Visit?

If you are unable to attend the surgery due to a severe sudden illness and require a home visit, please try to phone us before 10.00am. Do remember that a doctor can see several patients in the same time as it takes to do one home visit.
